First off, a quick, run-down on the Hawk motor.
It is a 52deg V-twin motor derived from the early 80's VT500 Ascot V-Twin. 647cc, liquid-cooled, 3 valves per cylinder (2 intake 1 exhaust), chain driven cams,
with a two bearing crank.
This is it's weakest point, and there have been many a Hawk racer who has popped a motor, shattering cases, building these things.
